Tuesday
Personal Training session with Gary (www.physicalwellbeing.co.uk who needs a plug for his excellent traing schedule and lifestyle shaping)
Heavy Weights focusing on Legs : Squats (120 kg weight), Squats on powerplate, Straddle jumps, Squat thrusts etc
Thursday 1hr 30mins With Gary.
Cardio vascular session concentrating on anaerobic (that's in oxygen debt) exercises. Typicaly :
15 minute warm up at 11km/hr on treadmill
3 x 1000m on rowing machine with 3mins 30 seconds recovery between each. Each row to be quicker than the previous one. Last one i did 3.42, 3.40, 3.37. You fall off rower after this gulping in oxygen.
Then after a few mins rest we do a no weights circuit. Star jumps, box jumps, press ups, burpees etc.
Sunday
30 - 50 mile bike ride. Either fast or "fartlek" style which means periods of intence fast riding with recovery periods of various times. You switch from aerobic to anaerobic very quickly doing this and its all about building up oxygen debt tolerance.
